Wednesday: PLL is hosting an educator meet-up at the Minnesota Children’s Museum. AnnMarie will host a trapeze workshop.
Thursday: Damian Kulash of OK Go and AnnMarie Thomas are hosting a session on OK Sandbox resources and materials.
Friday: PLL member Krista Schumacher is leading a studio workshop about using OK Go Sandbox resources in art classrooms. PLL member Emma Monson is leading a studio workshop, using Squishy Circuits in a variety of educational contexts.
This workshop is designed for chairs, faculty, instructors, and lab staff from universities and community colleges along with industry, researchers, and others with an interest in making and makerspaces. There will be workshop sessions, a panel, hands-on activities, and discussions of how to design, build, and sustain inclusive ECE makerspaces.
AnnMarie is presenting on making and makerspaces in an Electrical and Computer Engineering Education workshop.
Catholic Schools Center of Excellence is a nonprofit working to enhance excellence and increase enrollment in the 79 preschool-8th grade Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. They do this by sharing innovative ideas, sound business practices, proven strategies, and financial resources to help meet each schools’ individual goals.
CSCOE is a science fair for middle grade students, and PLL members will be doing STEM activities that relate to the projects that we work on as a lab. PLL will have a few tables with activities (popups, squishy circuits, learning the alphabet in ASL, etc) and a presentation about the lab, as well.
